DIY: Washi Tape Bookmarks

One of the “things”you may want to do more of this year is read books as knowledge is power after all. A good reading session is never complete without a bookmark!

This is also a fun kid’s craft, or loot bag gift idea, teacher’s gift – you get the idea.  Anyone could use a bookmark! And anyone can make them too.

To make them, first gather some card stock paper. Then, use a paper trimmer to cut rectangles of 1 3/4 x 5 inches long.  That will become the size of your bookmarks.

You will also need:

  • Corner punch
  • Hole punch
  • Washi tape galore!
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon

DIRECTIONS (FOR ONE BOOKMARK):

1.  Round the corners with the corner punch.

2.  Punch a hole for the ribbon.

3.  Apply washi tape in any random pattern you wish.

4.  Turn bookmark over and snip off the extra tape.

That’s how easy it is!

Now you’ll never lose your page again!
